Dear Bitcoin community,

It’s 2021…we made it.

Last year was tough. At OpenNode, we faced our own challenges. Some of us lost loved ones, most of us felt isolated, many of us faced greater fear and uncertainty than we’ve ever known.

But it’s starting to feel like we’re on the other side…and we hope you’ve weathered the storm too.

We haven’t made a lot of noise. We’ve been staying with our heads down, shipping, hustling…building payment infrastructure that will support the unstoppable growth of the bitcoin economy. But we wanted to take this opportunity to share a few things and to let you know you have an ally. We hear your voices and see what you’re up to.

We’re all building facets of something big, together.

Bitcoin is multi-faceted. Bitcoin is strengthening. It has matured as a store of value and is proving its utility as a medium of exchange. Bitcoin payments are growing. Businesses want them. Many businesses need them.

We’re building better payments for better money. As a result, OpenNode is growing.

We believe all work to be, inextricably, a social enterprise. So as we help to reinvent money, our company will progress a positive social agenda focused on transparency, inclusion and diversity.

We’re on the cusp of something big. We’d really like to hear from people interested to join our team or explore partnership opportunities.

From our launch just over 2 years ago, this community has believed in us, and given us the strength to remain focused and resilient.

OpenNode is just getting started, and we can’t wait to share with you what happens next. The next few weeks are going to be fun, we’re thankful to have you all with us for the ride.
